Arkéa and Max personalize the customer experience using the cloud

Arkéa Group teams announced the launch of an innovative project at the Google Cloud Summit held in Paris on June 18. The aim: to enhance the customer experience for users of their new mobile assistant thanks to the cloud.

Max, a 100% mobile app launched by the Arkéa group in 2018, will soon be equipped with new features to meet users' expectations. Indeed, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa wants to maximize the quality of the customer experience by offering personalized services.

Max, a free, 100% mobile personal assistant

Launched just over a year ago, fintech Max has set itself the goal of providing a simple, effective response to consumers' everyday needs. More concretely, Max is a bank account aggregator enriched with personalized financial services, concierge services and a bank card.

With almost 50,000 active customers, the neobank is making its mark on the French market. To reach 100,000 users by the end of 2019, a goal recently announced by Max CEO Didier Ardouin, the startup has unveiled several new features. Since the beginning of the year, a number of improvements have already been made: creation of a more ergonomic application, a new bank card with a more accomplished design, and the introduction of a budget coach with Payboost, the payment chain management expert. Since March, a new payment platform has been launched, enabling customers to make aggregated transfers or instant transfers. In the 2nd half of 2019, users will even be able to benefit from cashback on their purchases. Max aims to cover all payment solutions on the market.

Additional features offered through Google Cloud Plateform

In a press release published on June 19, Arkéa teams and Fintech Max announced the availability of new functionalities for users of the 100% mobile personal assistant. Experts from the group and its subsidiary have used Google Cloud Plateform to optimize the user experience.

In particular, customers will be able to benefit from real-time suggestions for services adapted to their consumption habits. For example, the personal assistant will be able to suggest suitable travel insurance when booking a flight, or a car rental offer at the arrival airport. These new functionalities obviously require user consent.

The launch of this project will enable the Max personal assistant to enrich its range of services through the integration of new partners. It also highlights the exploitation capabilities offered by machine learning and Artificial Intelligence to rapidly offer new services, Arkéa Group stresses in its press release. Thus, major developments are planned for Max in 2019 to bring even more content not only by pushing recommendations, but also by analyzing data. Open banking remains a priority axis of its strategy.
