Crédit Agricole launches "Globe Trotter" offer for 18-30 year olds

After launching Eko, an account that gives you a MasterCard bank card and access to basic banking services, Crédit Agricole has decided to create a dedicated offer for young people. Read all about it.

An offer available only to 18-30 year-olds

While the Eko account is open to everyone, the "Globe Trotter" offer is reserved for young people aged 18 to 30 who want to travel or study abroad. A survey carried out by OpinionWay in 2019 shows that 75% of young people dream of going to another country to do an internship, study or discover the world. According to the same survey, their favorite destination is Canada.

Aware that these trips represent a significant cost for students, the bank offers them a package of services for just 2 euros a month. Crédit Agricole Île-de-France has even gone one step further, entering into a partnership with the National Bank of Canada (NBC).

Globe Trotter" offer features

The "Globe Trotter" offer is already available and includes: an international MasterCard bank card with immediate debit, insurance and assistance cover, free and unlimited withdrawals and payments, free and unlimited transfers to and from anywhere in the world. Subscribers can also consult Crédit Agricole advisors and access products and services available in branches or on the bank's website.

This offer can be taken out at a branch or online, with a minimum deposit of 20 euros. The subscription gives access to the Ma Banque and Ma Carte applications, and to the use of Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Paylib.

"Globe Trotter" compared to the competition

Crédit Agricole isn't the only bank to offer something for young people. This year, Société Générale launched " Kapsul ", an entry-level offer at 2 euros a month, including: a mobile-controlled current account, an international Visa card and the option of depositing cheques in the branch. For its part, Caisse d'Épargne offers a low-cost banking package called " Enjoy ". Available from 2 euros a month, it is aimed at customers with simple needs: a bank card linked to a current account, without a personal adviser or authorized overdraft.

Crédit Agricole stands out from the crowd with an offer that includes charges for payments and card withdrawals abroad, access to an advisor in the branch and to any bank. The group is adapting to the new consumption patterns of its customers.
