Skyrock radio launches Yax mobile payment service

Thanks to the Yax mobile payment solution, users will be able to exchange money, open online kitty pools, as well as purchase products promoted by the radio station in return for discounts. Skyrock and Lyf Pay hope to win over 400,000 users by 2024 and generate more than 150,000 sales via the launch of this application.

Yax focuses on group purchasing

Yax, the mobile payment application launched with Lyf Pay, doesn't just allow you to receive money, share notes or create a kitty like Lydia or Pumpkin. It's also a group sales tool for the Skyrock community. As a reminder, the radio station boasts over 3.4 million daily listeners and 9 million monthly listens.

In concrete terms, users will be able to make group purchases from the application or on-air. Skyrock will be remunerated on the number of products sold, and Lyf Pay will take a commission on these sales.

To mark the launch of this new feature, Yax has announced the sale of 200 PS5s for 200 euros, compared with the normal price of 400 euros. Once you've made your purchase, simply use the QR code to pick up the product in store.

A partnership with fintech Lyf Pay

Skyrock's bundled sales tool is based on the Lyf Pay solution. The leader in augmented mobile payment boasts over 1.5 million users. Founded in 2017, the fintech handles the functional and regulatory management of transactions.

The partnership with Skyrock illustrates Lyf Pay's ability to integrate into existing ecosystems by bringing its transactional expertise to the table. "We are very pleased to participate in this exceptional and innovative initiative, which corresponds in every way to Lyf Pay's DNA: the reinvention of mobile payment through the fluidity and diversity of the customer experience," says Frédéric Leclef, Deputy CEO of Lyf Pay, in a statement published on December 14, 2020.

For its part, France's leading radio station for the under-25s will be able to use this feature to strengthen its ties with the public and its advertisers, who play a direct role in sales growth. " This is a new high point for Skyrock, which knows how to combine cultural codes with computer code," says Pierre Bellanger, Founder and CEO of Skyrock.

400,000 users by 2024

Skyrock and Lyf Pay plan to offer 52 Yax offers per year. These will be reserved for Skyrock listeners and Lyf Pay users. They plan to attract 400,000 users by 2024, for a total of 150,000 sales.

Skyrock enters the online payment market with its millions of listeners, an advantage over other competitors.
