Renfort honor loan

As part of Bercy's France Relance plan, Bpifrance has launched the Renfort honor loan in partnership with the Initiative France, France Active, Réseau Entreprendre and Adie support networks. Objective: to encourage entrepreneurial financing. Here we take a closer look at the beneficiaries, the conditions of attribution and the steps to be taken to set up this scheme.

Advantageous terms and conditions

The Renfort honor loan is designed to strengthen the equity or quasi-equity capital of young companies.

The amount ranges from 1,000 to 30,000 euros at zero interest, over a term of 1 to 7 years, with a 24-month grace period.

Bpifrance plans to grant 50,000 Renfort honor loans in 2021, mobilizing almost 500 million euros over 2 years, a way of securing business activity during the crisis. More specifically, 85 million euros will be deployed in 2021 for this scheme.

Who can benefit from the Renfort honor loan?

The Renfort honor loan is aimed at people whose tax residence is in France and who want to consolidate their company's equity capital.

To qualify, contractors must meet the following conditions:

  • Be the company's legal representative and shareholder or majority shareholder;
  • Not be registered with the Fichier des incidents de remboursement des crédits aux particuliers (FICP);
  • Have already been supported and financed by one of Bpifrance's partner networks (financing, guarantee, microcredit, Resistance loan, Resilience loan, etc.).

Corporate criteria are also imposed:

  • Only companies with equity capital (SA, SARL, EURL, SAS) are eligible, excluding sole proprietorships, SNCs, associations and SCIs;
  • The company must have been created before March 1, 2020 and for less than 5 years;
  • Certain sectors of activity are excluded, such as agriculture, exports, fishing, real estate leasing and financial intermediation;
  • The company must not be the subject of collective proceedings.

How do I apply for a Renfort honor loan?

You can apply for a Renfort honor loan by contacting one of the following networks:

  • Adie
  • France Active
  • Initiative France
  • Réseau Entreprendre

Several documents are required, including :

  • proof of income,
  • the last three personal and business bank statements,
  • an identity card,
  • a driver's license.

A reply is usually given within 10 days. If approved, the money is released within 48 hours and transferred to the applicant's account.
