Detecting the warning signs of difficulties
Since January 15, the CCI de la Marne has been offering a self-diagnosis tool on its website, designed to help VSEs facing difficulties since the Covid-19 crisis.
More specifically, this tool enables managers to monitor their company's economic and financial health in complete confidentiality, since the results of their previous sessions are retained. Once the test is completed, a summary document is sent, enabling thestrengths and weaknesses of the company to be quickly identified. These results can be validated by a professional (chartered accountant, lawyer, CMA, CCI...). The CCI's expert advisors remain at the disposal of entrepreneurs to answer their questions or provide more in-depth support.
How do I use the online self-diagnostic?
To assess the situation of their business, using the tool provided by the CCI, entrepreneurs have to answer around thirty questions on :
- administrative and accounting management,
- treasury and banking relations,
- sales and digital activities,
- customer and supplier relations.
Once the answers have been sent in, the manager has direct access to his results, and can analyze the scores corresponding to the four aforementioned themes. The tool also provides a difficulty index, giving an overview of the company's overall situation and the actions required to improve it.
Following this test, you can ask the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to contact you again.
A tool used by a hundred entrepreneurs
So far, nearly a hundred entrepreneurs have taken the test and asked to be contacted again. The self-diagnostic is available free of charge at: Comment va ma boîte?
Generally speaking, and to prevent difficulties, it is in the interest of business owners to monitor their activity with a management chart, to draw up a cash flow plan, to know their break-even point and to know how to interpret intermediate management balances (IMB). In the event of difficulties, in addition to the tool proposed by the CCI de la Marne, it is important to be aware of the existing aid and support mechanisms, including deferment of tax and social security debts, recourse to part-time working, referral to the credit mediator, referral to the President of the Commercial Court, or the implementation of amicable procedures.
So if you're experiencing difficulties, don't hesitate to get in touch with an expert advisor at the CCI to find out about the measures put in place to deal with the health crisis.
