"The onboarding system used by traditional banks is essentially based on credit risk assessment. Companies in the construction sector are struggling to get bank support. Anytime has built its offer on a debit-based approach to risk. We don't lend money, so we can accept companies from this sector as clients", explains Damien Dupouy, co-founder of FinTech Anytime.
Anytime customer habits
Account funding
On average, an Anytime professional deposits €3,590/month into his or her account, which comes from the payment of customer invoices. 75% are paid by bank transfer and 25% via a payment terminal or payment link. Cashing by cheque accounts for just 1% of flows, "which confirms that our professionals prefer to cash their customers immediately to restore their cash flow", explains Damien Dupouy.
The number of customers using factoring is constantly growing.
When their account is activated, 60% of customers deposit funds within 7 days of opening it, by direct transfer from an account opened in their company's name at a bank. 63% of cash receipts are made by credit card, compared with 36% by bank transfer and 1% by cheque.
"We've found that it's mainly large companies that pay freelancers by bank transfer, whereas start-ups and other small structures are happy to pay by credit card. By favoring payment by credit card, freelancers can minimize collection times and rapidly recover cash flow to finance their development", explains Damien Dupouy. analyses Damien Dupouy.

Spending around the world
Anytime customers spend money all over the world, particularly in Europe: in France, Great Britain, Northern Ireland and Luxembourg. The United States ranks 5th and China 9th among countries receiving transfers.
"One of the challenges for Anytime, as for all neobanks, is to succeed in on-boarding more and more customers, while at the same time strengthening the compliance department to effectively combat the risks of money laundering and terrorist financing. Some fraudsters think that by using neobank services, they'll be able to slip through the net. They will be surprised to discover that fintechs are subject to the same obligations as traditional banks, and that this represents a top priority along with the fight against bankcard fraud. In 2017, Anytime recorded a bankcard fraud rate of 0.042%, which is in line with the average recorded by banks", concludes Damien Dupouy.
